Welcome to the 1st edition of our home page newsletter. We specialize in maintenance of water gardens as well as the health care of the fish I do hope you will hang around, come back, and visit often. Each edition will feature all sorts of topics to hopefully assist you in your water garden hobby. Aqua-Doc is also an active member of the Central Florida Koi Society. We get referrals from as far away as Washington State.

Fish Diseases

We will attempt to on- line consultation; keeping in mind that it is hard enough to do a phone consult without seeing the sick fish. Water quality problems are welcome as well. If you would like a more detailed consult you can also fax us your questions (FAX# 407-292-1302) We could at least get you pointed in the right direction. Speaking of fish disease & pointing in the right direction...Dr Erik Johnson DVM has a wonderful website at ( www.koivet.com). He also has a book entitled "Koi Health & Disease" as well as a video. They are both a MUST BUY for the pond/koi lover.

Pond Preditors

Do you have a POND-PREDiTOR? Here in Florida we have a great deal of difficulty with the BLUE HERON. We have tried everything available to stop this bird. The one thing that does seem to help on most occassions in an artificial statue of the heron. It needs to be moved frequently to keep the bird on his toes. Some herons are persistant regardless. We would be happy to help youwith your preditor problem, just send an e-mail with the details.
